Historically diverse, rapidly expanding, and a thriving part of Los Angeles’ southside
Welcome to the historically diverse and thriving section of South Los Angeles. With excellent dining, a plethora of entertainment venues, and a wide range of real estate opportunities, Inglewood is fast becoming a hot investment in the city. This community consists of ten smaller neighborhoods — Morningside Park, Downtown Inglewood, Fairview Heights, Arbor Village, Hollypark Knolls, Centinela Heights, Sports Village, Century Heights, Inglewood Knolls, and Lockhaven — each of which has its own unique flavor, style, and housing options.
There’s a lot happening in Inglewood and residents take full advantage of the wide-scale amenities here. For instance, Morningside Park is the commercial district in the eastern part of the city, SoFi Stadium, the home of the NFL's Los Angeles Rams and the Los Angeles Chargers, is 2 miles away as well as The Forum, a huge entertainment venue featuring the top musical acts in the world. It is also the home to three gated communities called Carlton Square, Briarwood Village & The Renaissance.
Great food is alive here in Inglewood! You’ll find comfort food abound here and restaurant owners here make long-standing family recipes for the masses:
For shopping, The Village at Century will be your hub for retail therapy and they feature many national brands there. For a larger mall with more upscale shops, the nearby Westfield Culver City and the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza have a huge selection of shops and eateries.
Inglewood is most notably the home of The Forum, the area’s largest attraction and designed by architect Charles Luckman, who also designed Madison Square Garden. The arena was intended to evoke the Forum in Rome and has played host to some of the biggest musical acts in the world. The recent reinvention of the Forum has created the largest indoor performance venue in the country designed with a focus on music and entertainment.
In 2015, the Inglewood City Council approved plans for the construction of an NFL-capacity stadium, later named SoFi Stadium, which finally opened in 2020. Because of that, Inglewood is home to the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers who both play at SoFi Stadium. The stadium will even host Super Bowl LVI in 2022!
Then in 2019, the Los Angeles Clippers announced plans to build a new arena and entertainment center in Inglewood, to be completed in the fall of 2024. The privately financed project includes the arena, the team's business, and basketball offices, training facility, community, and retail spaces. Shortly after, Clippers owner Steve Ballmer announced plans to invest $100 million into the city of Inglewood as part of the arena deal which includes $80 million for first-time homebuyers and another $12.75 million for school and youth programs.
Inglewood is also home to the Hollywood Park Casino, a thriving local casino with events, games, resort amenities, and a popular hot spot for young and old residents seeking some fun.
